    Care Instructions

Daffodil bulbs are one of the easiest things you can plant. Here's how to get the best blooms next spring.

When to plant: October through November, before the ground freezes. Western PA's cold winters are actually what these bulbs need to bloom beautifully.

Where to plant: Choose a sunny or partly sunny spot with good drainage. Avoid areas that stay wet after rain.

How to plant: Dig a hole about 6 inches deep. Place the bulb pointy side up. Cover with soil and water once.

Spacing: Plant bulbs about 4-6 inches apart. They'll multiply over time and fill in naturally.

After they bloom: Let the leaves die back on their own. This feeds the bulb for next year's flowers. Don't cut the green leaves off early.

The best part: You don't need to dig them up each year. Plant them once and they come back every spring - often bigger and better than the year before.
