Soil, Seeds, Worms, and Creek — Three Mornings Your Child Won't Forget.

There is something powerful about putting your hands in the soil and watching something grow.

Planting Camp gives children the full experience — from mixing their own potting soil to hunting for earthworms to planting a real flower they'll bring home on the last day. Along the way, they'll help care for the animals, explore the creek, race handmade toy boats, and hear Bible lessons about building on a strong foundation.

3 Day Schedule

Building a Strong Foundation

9:00 AM — Arrival & Welcome: Check in, meet your fellow campers, and get introduced to the farm.

9:20 AM — Bible Time: Memory verse and a lesson on building strong foundations.

9:40 AM — Morning Farm Chores: Collect eggs, feed the animals, and water the flock.

10:10 AM — Soil Science: Campers learn about different types of soil, why healthy soil matters, and how to mix the perfect garden blend. Each child mixes their own custom potting soil and fills their own flower pot.

11:00 AM — Craft Time: Campers start building the frame of a small toy boat — they'll finish decorating it later in the week.

11:30 AM — Creek Exploration & Free Play: Supervised play in the stream. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and water shoes.

Growing Together

9:00 AM — Arrival & Welcome

9:20 AM — Bible Time Theme: Why God wants us to worship together as a church family.

9:40 AM — Morning Farm Chores: Collect eggs, feed animals, water animals.

10:10 AM — Worm Hunt: Campers search for earthworms, learn why worms are essential for healthy soil, and add worms to their own flower pots.

10:45 AM — Art Project: Campers paint their flower pots and their toy boats.

11:15 AM — Field Games: Frisbee, soccer, tag, Duck Duck Goose, and cooperative outdoor games.

Watching Things Grow

9:00 AM — Arrival & Welcome

9:20 AM — Bible Time Theme: Good sportsmanship, teamwork, and encouraging one another.

9:40 AM — Morning Farm Chores Collect eggs, feed animals, water animals.

10:10 AM — Planting Time Each camper chooses a flower or plant, plants it in the pot they've been building all week, waters it from the stream, and tucks it in with natural wool mulch. They take it home.

10:45 AM — Boat Races & Creek Adventure Campers race the boats they built and enjoy supervised play in the creek to wrap up the week.
